Network Engineer - Denver, CO
This is a position for a Communications/Network Engineer. Candidate should have experience in designing and integrating Cisco and Juniper-based network. Candidate should be proficient in networking Windows, LINUX, UNIX and other platforms. Candidate will be tasked to apply experience to assist in development and operational architecture planning and detailed design for a variety of unique operational projects. Candidate should have some operational hands-on experience with network hardware and software installation, configuration and support. This should include testing and trouble shooting, LAN and WAN Internetworking, broadband, switches, routers, firewalls, Network Management, Quality of Service, and network analyzers. Candidate will be expected to perform network analyses, device configurations, IP address schema, firewall rule management, support of installations/implementations, and testing of implementations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical field or related experience.
Knowledge of routing protocols, firewalls, datacenter protocols, security requirements and network virtualization. Experience with network monitoring and reporting tools and technology. CNP or CCDP certs or equivalent experience. Familiarity with Cisco, WAN Protocols (BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP), LAN and Data Center Protocols (Spanning -Tree, Fabric-enabled technologies, SAN, FCoE, WCCP, GPON, VoIP to support Data, Voice and Video).
Candidate must be able to pass a US Government Position of Public Trust background check.
